Fixed & Corporate Deposits
A safe, reliable way to grow your savings with predictable returns.
Fixed Deposits remain one of the most trusted investment options for conservative investors. With Shreevaah, you can access a range of Bank and Corporate Fixed Deposits chosen for their strong credit ratings and competitive interest rates, giving you capital safety alongside dependable returns.
- Capital Safety: Your principal amount is safe and returned upon maturity, making it a low-risk investment.
- Flexible Tenure: Choose from a wide range of tenures, from a few months to several years, to match your financial goals.
- Higher Returns: Corporate FDs in particular often offer higher interest rates than traditional bank FDs.
- Liquidity: In case of an emergency, you can liquidate your FD before maturity, though a penalty may apply.
Bank FDs vs. Corporate FDs
- Bank FDs: Offered by RBI-regulated banks, and may be covered under the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) up to ₹5 lakh per depositor per bank. Interest rates, tenures, and premature withdrawal terms are set by the issuing bank and may change without prior notice.
- Corporate FDs: Issued by NBFCs and corporates registered with RBI or other regulators. Corporate FDs are not covered under DICGC insurance, carry credit, liquidity, and interest rate risk, and are subject to the issuer's financial health. Premature withdrawal may be restricted or penalized per issuer terms.
Understanding Fixed Deposit Ratings
Like bonds, corporate fixed deposits carry credit ratings that indicate the issuer's safety and creditworthiness:
Eligibility Criteria
- AAA: The highest rating — exceptionally strong capacity to meet financial obligations, very low risk of default.
- AA: Very high safety and low default risk; strong repayment capacity, slightly more sensitive to economic changes.
- BBB: The lowest investment-grade rating — adequate capacity, but adverse conditions could impair it.

Fixed Deposits FAQs
What is the difference between a Bank FD and a Corporate FD?

What is the tenure of a Fixed Deposit?
Bank FD tenures range from 7 days to 10 years, while corporate FDs typically range from 1 to 5 years.
Is my money safe in Fixed Deposits?
Bank FDs are secured by the DICGC up to ₹5 lakh per bank. Corporate FDs are not covered by DICGC, which is why it's crucial to invest in highly-rated FDs from credible companies.
